Welcome

B’nai B’rith I, II and III, Inc. also known as Covenant House, was first built in 1982 to provide quality, affordable housing for seniors and disabled residents.  Two additional buildings were added in 1992 and in 2004 so that today, Covenant House has 242 units. Covenant House is managed by Barkan Management Company www.barkanco.com, and is sponsored by B’nai B’rith Housing.  B’nai B’rith Housing is a Massachusetts not-for-profit corporation whose mission is to produce non-sectarian housing, both affordable and mixed income, to ease the housing crisis, particularly in the communities of Greater Boston. You may visit them at http://www.bbhousing.org

Covenant House’s 242 subsidized units serve those elders and disabled who qualify for HUD subsidy by income and age/disability. Income limits may change from year to year so please call to verify current limits.

Covenant House is conveniently located on bus and MBTA Green line in a mixed residential/business area on the Brighton/Brookline line.  Close to shopping, cultural and religious activities, the community offers many in-house amenities as well.  Covenant House was designated a ‘Community of Quality’ in 2006 by the National Affordable Housing Management Association, a reflection of the outstanding services offered its residents.  A multi-ethnic, multi-lingual community, the building maintains student programs with Leslie College, Boston University and Boston College.

The building offers a limited number of handicapped accessible units and two bedroom units in addition to standard studio, and one bedroom apartments.
